secret in a PostSecret
10:22 AMPostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard. I have been following this phenomenon for years and am fascinated with the alleged cleansing ability of anonymously confessing secrets to strangers. The postcards range from funny to moving and some very dark. Whilst perusing Auckland City Library on Tuesday I picked up the first PostSecret book only to find a little secret tucked into the centrefold. Although it hadn't been mailed on a post card it was still a confession from a stranger left to be found. My eyes quickly scanned the library wondering if the author was still present, watching me read their secret or if it had been written long ago, if it was a joke or someone's innermost yearning. And now...i share it with you:
